Vancouver’s 2024 MICHELIN Awards: Restaurants Worth Travelling For
Vancouver's culinary scene continues to shine with the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Awards, adding new MICHELIN-starred and Bib Gourmand restaurants to recognize the city's diverse and exceptional dining experiences.
For 2024, the MICHELIN Guide once again shines a spotlight on Vancouver’s high-quality dining establishments, showcasing flavours and culinary experiences that offer something for everyone. The ceremony, held at the Commodore Ballroom in downtown Vancouver, celebrated the city’s continued growth in prominence in the culinary world, featuring music, cocktails, and the chance to mingle with distinguished members of the culinary community and media. Host Mijune Pak (Top Chef Canada judge) kept the energy high as accolades were handed out throughout the night.
A major highlight of the evening was the addition of Sushi Masuda, a new recipient of a coveted MICHELIN Star. The intimate five-seat counter, led by Chef Yoji Masuda and his wife Akari, was praised for its meticulous Japanese preparations, exceptional ingredients, and delicate precision. Sushi Masuda now joins the ranks of Vancouver’s nine other MICHELIN-Starred restaurants, bringing the city’s total to 10.
As part of the MICHELIN Guide’s ongoing celebration of Vancouver’s culinary diversity, Gary’s, a charming French-inspired bistro, earned the Bib Gourmand designation this year. The Bib Gourmand award, which recognizes establishments offering great food at great value, celebrates Gary's hearty French country dishes.
Notable new additions to the MICHELIN Recommended restaurants list include Bar Bravo, a seafood, wine, and cocktail bar, and Zab Bite, which features Thai E-Sarn cuisine.
This year’s MICHELIN Guide selection now includes 76 total restaurants representing 23 different cuisine types across Vancouver, a testament to the city’s rich, multicultural dining scene. A complete list of MICHELIN selections can be found below:

Fraser Crawford of Kissa Tanto received the Exceptional Cocktails Award.
Reverie Beall of AnnaLena was honored with the Sommelier Award.
Bailey Hayward of Gary’s won the Outstanding Service Award.
Yoji Masuda, Chef of Sushi Masuda, was named the Young Chef/Culinary Professional Award winner.
