10:30 AM: Immerse yourself in Northern Plains Indigenous culture at Wanuskewin. Wander 7 kilometers of trails, where Plains Bison have returned as new chief excavators, unearthing artifacts via hoofprints, aiding Dr. Ernie Walker with Canada’s longest-running archaeological dig. Inside, explore exhibits and sip fragrant peach-muskeg tea.

12:30 PM Luxuriate in owner Andy Yuen’s creative and contemporary Asian spins on Canadian classics over casual lunch at Odd Couple. Oozing warm ambiance, enjoy the art of conversation and playful dishes infused with vibrant flavours from Vietnamese, Cantonese and Japanese cuisines.

3:30 PM At Rivers Landing, peruse Picasso masterpieces at Remai Modern art gallery, home to the world’s most complete linocut collection. Rotating exhibitions curated from over 8,000 contemporary and international modern works, are sure to inspire.

6:00 PM Since 2018, Hearth (in the Remai) has cemented itself as a local favourite thanks to delectable foraged, homegrown courses. Appreciate impressive river views in the nostalgically influenced space as you explore the evolving elevated-meets-touch-of-whimsy, menu.

8:30 PM Minutes away, toast the evening with a nip at Parlor, Saskatoon’s only speakeasy, choosing from its themed, rotating cocktail list lovingly referred to as giggle juice. Located above St. Tropez Bistro, this treasure in plain view is open if you see neon cat in window.

9:30 AM Explore Canada’s largest urban conservation area, Meewasin Trails. Steps from the hotel, walk or jog along some of the 105 kms of winding waterside pathway.

11:00 AM Hunt for collectables at Riversdale vintage shop, Hazlewood featuring thoughtfully curated pieces and local designers, or over in Broadway, at uber cool, Alt Haus. Find more antique shops and a vintage mall in the quirky westside neighbourhood along 33rd Street.

1:00 PM If vegan food is your jam (don’t worry carnies, they serve meat, too), then allow award-winning Chef Justin O’Reilly of recently opened, Loqui prove why folks are raving about its culinary offerings. Don’t miss: the Sask wild rice sushi roll.

3:30 PM Sample small batch brew starring local ingredients at nano brewery Shelter Brewing or visit family-friendly Better Brother Brewery, where they also serve homemade pop.
