Go Canada is a division of Stay & Wander Media Inc. (the "Administrator"), a registered corporation in British Columbia, Canada. All business transactions, legal agreements, and obligations are conducted under Stay & Wander Media Inc. Any references to 'Go Canada' refer to its function as a brand operated by Stay & Wander Media Inc.
As a condition of participating in the Go Canada x The Wickaninnish Inn Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Stay & Wander Media Inc. and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules.
1. ELIGIBILITY
This Sweepstakes is open to persons who are at least 19 years of age and are legal residents of Canada and the United States of America, excluding Quebec, New York City, and Florida. Directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, or representatives of the Administrator and Wickaninnish Inn, as well as the immediate family of such employees (including spouse, parents, children, and siblings, and their respective spouses regardless of where they live) and individuals living in the same households as these employees, whether related or not, are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable Canadian, federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
CONSUMER DISCLOSURE: NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. HOW TO ENTER
Automated or bot-generated entries are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification if detected.
The Sweepstakes begins on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), and ends on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) (“Promotional Period”). To enter, participants must complete the following steps:
- Engage on Instagram: Comment on the official Instagram sweepstakes post on the @Canada Instagram account, which will direct participants to these Official Rules, sharing what you love most about Canada’s coastlines or a favorite coastal memory.
- Subscribe to the Newsletter: Sign up for the Go Canada newsletter through the Sweepstakes landing page: https://www.gocanada.com/en/giveaway-win-a-three-night-stay-at-the-wickaninnish-inn-in-tofino or elsewhere on https://gocanada.com. Participants must confirm their subscription in the ensuing email to complete their subscription and entry. If already previously subscribed, entry is automatic.
By completing both steps, participants will be entered into a random drawing to determine the winner. Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple comments on Instagram do not count as additional entries. By entering, participants agree to receive communications from Go Canada.
3. DRAWINGS AND ODDS OF WINNING
After the conclusion of the Promotional Period, on or about February 21, 2025, the Administrator will select one (1) Grand Prize winner in a random drawing from all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
4. GRAND PRIZE
The winner will receive a three (3) night stay at The Wickaninnish Inn (“Prize Package”) for themselves and one guest. Details:
Winner is entitled to enjoy a Storm Watching or Spring Season Getaway: three nights of accommodation for two in a deluxe guest room in the casual luxury of the Wickaninnish Inn’s On the Beach Building, including complimentary valet parking and Wi-Fi.
The room will feature either one king size or two queen size beds, a forested beach view looking out to the ocean, double soaking tub set against a picture window, glass enclosed shower with beach and ocean view, heated bathroom flooring, slate-tiled individual balcony and gas fireplace.
Winner will receive a certificate issued by The Wickaninnish Inn, allowing them to book their three-night stay.
VALID February 21, 2025 through April 30, 2025 or October 1, 2025 through December 20, 2025.
EXCLUDING selected holiday periods which includes all Canadian and US statutory holiday periods.
IMPORTANT CERTIFICATE DETAILS:
· Advance reservations are required and subject to availability and minimum stay requirements at the time of booking.
· To reserve, please call the Wickaninnish Inn at 250.725.3100 or 1.800.333.4604 and quote the certificate number once issued. Winner’s credit card number will be needed to secure the reservation and the same credit card must also be presented at check in for pre-authorization.
· Cancellations or date changes made 15 or more days prior to arrival will be subject to a $50 fee. Cancellations or date changes within 14 days of arrival will result in the certificate becoming void and not available for use in the future.
· Advance reservations for dinner at The Pointe Restaurant and for treatments or yoga at our Ancient Cedars Spa are required. Please note this certificate does not include dining or spa.
· Certificate cannot be extended nor redeemed beyond the above-mentioned validity dates and lost or stolen certificates will not be reissued. If Winner is unable to personally use the certificate, the certificate can be transferred to a friend or family member.
· Certificate inclusions are specific to the details noted above. Modifications, substitutions or upgrades are not available.
· Certificates are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash or exchange.
· This certificate is not available for resale or re-donation.
Approximate prize value: $2600.00 CAD.
For the purposes of this Sweepstakes, 'Prize Package' refers to the awarded three-night stay at The Wickaninnish Inn, including a certificate for accommodations, subject to specified terms. The Prize Package is provided and managed by Wickaninnish Inn Ltd., subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Sweepstakes. Winner will be contacted directly by the Wickaninnish Inn with instructions for booking once eligibility has been confirmed. Winner must be 19 years or older. Once hotel reservations are booked, any changes, including associated fees, are the sole responsibility of the winner. All expenses, travel costs, incidental expenses, in-room charges, meals, gratuities, and souvenirs are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize Packages are not assignable or transferable. No cash equivalents or prize substitutions will be allowed, except at the discretion of Wickaninnish Inn, which may substitute a Prize Package with one of comparable or greater value or, solely at its discretion, a cash award.
Tax Responsibility: Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local taxes associated with prize acceptance.
No Warranty: The Prize Package is awarded AS IS, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. FORCE MAJEURE & CANCELLATIONS
The Administrator reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes in the event of force majeure, fraud, or technical failures beyond its control, including but not limited to pandemics, natural disasters, war, or government regulations.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION
On or about February 21, 2025, the Administrator will contact the Grand Prize winner via e-mail using the contact information provided. Failure to respond within seven (7) days may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner. Winner will be required to complete and sign a Selected Entrant Declaration and Release Form within seven (7) days of notification or risk forfeiture of the prize. The form will require the selected entrant to provide information to confirm eligibility, compliance with sweepstakes rules, and agreement to a liability waiver. The form will also include a skill-testing question as required by Canadian law.
7. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in the courts of British Columbia. For U.S. residents, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
8. SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER
This Sweepstakes complies with Instagram’s promotion guidelines, which can be found at https://help.instagram.com/179379842258600. Participants must adhere to Instagram’s terms of use and community guidelines when entering.
The official Instagram sweepstakes post will reference these Go Canada x The Wickaninnish Inn Sweepstakes Official Rules, which govern all aspects of the Sweepstakes. By entering via Instagram comment and signing up for the Go Canada newsletter, participants acknowledge and agree to these Official Rules.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Meta (the parent company of Instagram), Instagram, or any other social media platform. By entering, participants release Meta, Instagram, and all other social platforms from any liability related to this Sweepstakes.
9. NAMES OF WINNING ENTRANTS

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Administrator, its advertising and promotion agencies, and the Sweepstakes judges are not responsible for:
- Website failures
- Technical malfunctions
- Lost or misdirected entries due to internet traffic or other issues
- Any injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or use of the prize
By entering, participants release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Administrator, Wickaninnish Inn, their respective affiliates, employees, and representatives from any and all liability, injuries, losses, or damages related to the Sweepstakes or prize acceptance.
ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION.
